August 4, 2010 was a very interesting day.

If I go back and look at that post, there was a lot of electricity in the air,
both literally and figuratively.

We’d had a lightening storm that killed two of our televisions.
Quite an awakening at 5 a.m.

It was also the day I decided to give a simple little business idea a whirl.

It’s funny how life happens.

You know in your heart you’re suppose to be doing the ‘right’ thing, and you hope and pray that decisions you make–or decisions that are made for you–turn out  the way they are suppose to. You may not have the full vision of things to come, but you know that because you are doing what’s right, that you will be taken care of.

It’s not always the easiest of roads either.

But you stick to it. You come together closer as a family. And somehow things just work out.

That’s where I am at today.

I am beyond thrilled that I have been fortunate enough to do what I do.

I love being creative.

I love connecting with all of you all of the world.

Sometimes I can’t believe that things work out the way they do.

You see that  tiny glimmer of light way off in the distance, but until it comes in closer and closer,
you can’t even fathom how bright and fabulous it can be.

And I don’t take any of it for granted.

ever.

And those of you that follow me know just how much you all mean to me and how much you affect my life and what I do. And you know that I love to show just how much I appreciate all of your support and friendships.

Today is no exception.

Or I should say, this week is no exception.

In my world, birthdays usually last week.

So I hope you’ll have fun this week with a little bit of this!

I thought since we’re celebrating Kerri’s 2nd birthday celebration it would be fun to see what kind of birthday-themed layout I could come up with for the big event! I had so much fun gathering die cut shapes together that weren’t necessarily intended for a birthday page, but that worked perfectly, to create a collage of accents for this layout showcasing photos from my youngest son’s 3rd birthday!
