This page was completely inspired by the homemade Christmas trees I’ve seen where people create a “tree” to top a spool. I think they are just adorable and thought that the die cut trees and die cut spool shapes from Kerri’s kits would make a cute page embellishment! I wanted the page to have a more “rustic” look and feel and chose to die cut Kerri’s diagonal background from a 12×12 sheet of woodgrain paper and then pop a sheet of burlap printed paper behind it for contrast. A cute title created from word die cuts and decorative die cut doily with embellishments add color and texture to the page. I gave my photos a bit of a vintage feel with photo actions and dropped them into one of Kerri’s templates for an eye-pleasing arrangement.
