You may notice some similarities there. I made it to match ‘A Very Retro Christmas’ kit that was just released a few days ago. If you missed it, it looks a little something like this:

These are all 3×4 cards designed to work with your Project Life or December Daily. The only difference with this free file is that this one does not have an alternate card with a printing bleed on it….just fyi.

I just thought it would be fun to make another one to match the little ensemble . . . and so we could do this for our . . .

Well, here’s some quick ways on how to do just that.

And I have to say, speaking of never-ending, I could have gone on and on with this kit.
Will probably warrant a ‘Need More Directions?” someday. ;)

Lots of possibilities to play with this!

And you know me and variety, I like both a straight edge and a rounded edge. I couldn’t decide which one I wanted when designing, so, by golly, I just included both!

Design tip here.
This set of arrows come in three ways: one solid shape and two shapes
that overlap so that you can make it a multi-color set of arrows.

But wait, there’s more!

See that side bar? While you can use them all together with the sidebar, what I really designed it for is so you can lay down those arrows perfectly and then just cut off the edge without you having to align a single arrow! So it might look a little something like this:

Not to be like all pattin’ myself on the back or anything, but I love this idea. Not having to individually place them all? Hello! And, they are much more movable as you are laying out your page, trying to figure out where you want to place things . . . and I’m all about convenience there.

Also, I included some text on a couple of the shapes, but the intent is for you to add your own text.
So you can just delete the text that’s there and put in whatever you’d like.

Wanna see how it works on those frames?

Well here’s a video that shows how you can do that . . . in addition to how to manipulate some of those arrows to fit your needs . . . if’n ya need to make some modifications, that is.

Which brings me to today’s kit:

Now, the real beauty of this kit is that it is totally customizable! As you can see from the composite photo, you get 5 backgrounds, 2 different insets, and 4 label styles. Plus, you get them for three different sizes! They come in 5×7, 4×6 and 3×4. The 3×4 is a really great piece to use in your Project Life too!

And not only can you pick the style of the item you’re using, but you can change them to your own color scheme . . . without having to use Photoshop or Elements! Of course, I did provide layered PSD files for it as well and it’s suuuuuper easy to use in there!

And another fun idea is to move the tab along the top and color code corresponding to whether it’s a dessert, a soup, a main dish, etc.

Now, if you’re just a-wonderin’ how to use all those goodies and change them to the color you want and all that fun stuff, I’ve got some videos you can watch! And now, you may have noticed that Shari made a separate little flower overlay piece
on top of the flower on the card and you’re wondering to yourself, “How did she do that?

Well, here’s a little video that shows just how you can do it!

Did I say that before?
I just can’t remember.

Okay, so yeah, that’s sarcasm. I say it all the time! :)

So when the brain starts swirling in a direction,
ya just gotta go with the flow.

Therefore, I present to you Storyboard #6:

Price: $10

This kit includes a variety of styles. Generally 8″ or 10″ wide (or long)  so that you can print from home or take it to photo printer.

It also includes a fun photobooth template that has square holes so that you can use it for your Instagram-style photos, if’n ya’d like. As well as two 4×6 templates–created with Project Life in mind–so that you can include more photos for any given day or event. Snapshots 1 + 2  would be great for it too.

As with all my recent photo template kits, you can choose to use the template ‘as is’ or add a straight or rounded corner frame. I love being able to decide what I want with just the ‘flick of a switch’, so to speak.

There’s also a couple other templates in this kit that are a little unique. If you look at the example above, you’ll notice that there are two templates where the photos overlap. It’s just kind of  a fun way to add a little personality to your amazing photos. But then there are a few more choices for it than the usual borders. Certain images have a larger border as well as a separate image for that border so that you can add shadows separately to those photos.

They look a little something like this:

So as you can see, it adds a different dimension to the template. So you can use it the regular way, or add that dimension. Just a fun little twist. :)

I also thought it might be nice to show how to use those two particular templates as well as share a fun little tip on using the borders.  So here’s the video for you to take a look.
