trick or treat?

Oh, I do believe this is a treat from our dear Miss Nichol.

Most definitely!

These are beyond fabulous!

[Shapes | This & That Halloween: “Don’t Look Back”  / This & That Family: Star / This & That Lucky: Branch / This & That Spring: Leaves]

[Shapes |This & That Halloween: Bat / This & That Freedom: Banner / This & That Family: Star / This & That Spring: Flourish)

two words:

a. dore.

Here’s what Nichol had to say about making the project:

For the glittered pieces (stars, “Don’t Look Back”), I die cut the images several times from kraft cardstock (3-5x each) and adhered them one on top of another using spray adhesive. This made a more sturdy piece, similar to chipboard. Then I glittered each die cut “chipboard” design.

For the leaves/branches on the largest hat I cut the design 3 times. Once from the glittered paper, once from silver metallic paper and once from black metallic (mirror image). Because the papers aren’t double side, I didn’t want the white back to show and ruin the effect so I layered the glitter paper on the silver, slightly offset for a bit of a “shadow” then I adhered the black paper to the back of the die cut so it shows black and not white on the backside.

My hot glue gun was my friend. I didn’t want to chance these falling apart with traditional tape runner adhesive or glue dots so I used my hot glue gun to attach everything to make a nice strong and secure bond.

Stay tuned for tomorrow because I have one more project to show y’all from Nichol!

Absolutely Won-der-ful!!( Ha! I got three words in there!) You and Nicol make one amazing team.

Now for a request…. could you make some ghosty faces? I have white Costco milk cartons, sharp scissors and Christmas lights. Yep, planning on making either sit-on-the-ground-and-line-the-walkway ghost lanterns OR hang from-the-tree-and-light-the-way flying ghosties. Poor things are currently faceless. Just sayin’.

Again, truly fabulous job. Both with designs AND the design team choices :)
