The cost of this class is normally $30, but it’s on sale for an introductory price of 20% off through the end of April, so it’s just $24. So if you’re thinking about doing it, now would be the time to sign up! It is a self-paced class, so you can take it whenever you want.

Getting more from Weld. Understand more about the Weld tool as well as point editing and start making shapes of your own.
Beyond the Words. Look at other fun ways to manipulate your text using paths and fills.
Align+Replicate. Learn how these features can help you to better designing as well as simplify your process.
Make Your Own Backgrounds. Now we’ll be using these tools to make our own background designs.
Print+Cut. See exactly how to do a Print+Cut and learn to make your own. It’s one of the finest features of Silhouette, in my humble opinion.
Trace. Learn how to take an image from a JPG and turn it into a Print+Cut or even a brand new a cuttable shape.
Design your Layout. Learn how you can use Silhouette to lay out your entire project, from start to finish.

Awesome Kerri. I’m not even half way through the first class (love that its self paced) and I’ve already picked up some great tips and tricks. The kids are on school holidays ATM so we’re competing for computer time but as soon as they’re back I’m really looking forward to finishing it. Can’t wait for the next one.

Yeah, taking the first class and loving it. So many cool things or short cuts to do things that I love. Would love to learn more about tracing, I have tried but it turns out weird. Also how to change cut line settings, do my own print and cuts. Love your classes Kerri!!!!!

I did not take the first class. Just received my Silhouette Cameo this past Thursday. My sweet hubby had it shipped to my parents house that we were visiting for Easter and had it waiting for me when I got there to surprise me. I was so ecstatic!! I took the last class because I have been trying to decide if I will really use a Silhouette if I purchase one. Yippee! I still have 1 lesson to go in the beginning class but you read my mind – i was wondering if a more advanced one would follow. Not that i’m advanced but i’m so much more comfortable using my Cameo already. I absolutely can’t wait to learn about print and cut. It’s the feature i bought the machine before but have been too afraid to try.

I loved the first class and can not wait to “bite” into the second class. I sure it will be just as good. Even though I knew some things you covered in every lesson I learned something new.
Maybe I am a slow learner, but each time it was time for a new lesson, I replayed the former lessons before viewing the new. I was hoping it all would become second nature to me. Not sure that will happen.
A little tip from me is practice, practice, practice with your machine.

I have had my Silhouette when it first came out, I think I’ve used it twice. I do love all the things I see (that others have made) and wish I knew enough about using it. It’s hooked up to my computer ready to go, if I just knew how to use it better.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED the getting to know you class. I can’t believe how many things I learned to do. When I got my Silhouette I really had no idea how to do some of what I wanted to do so it was really frustrating to use it in the way I had envisioned.Now I can’t wait to really start using it on everything I scrapbook or every card I make. The weld portion was just great (my head may explode with ideas for using that feature) and I am looking forward to learning more about that. I would find myself beyond words if I won this class!!!

I didn’t take the beginner’s class. And I’d most like to learn about tips and shortcuts.
I’ve only been using the Silhouette for a couple of weeks, and I’m finding it pretty limited. Am I missing a lot or what? I use Photoshop Elements which has so much more capability, of course, but seems a lot more intuitive. Of course PSE can’t cut.
The second item I’d like addressed is problems with cutting. I have a new blade and pad, but I’m just getting lousy cuts and it’s really frustrating me.

I have been methodically reading the Cameo manual in order to learn how the new love of my life thinks and works and I have to say I got really hung up with compound paths; I would go back and forth from silhouette studio to the manual and back again. Oh boy, I think you have got the better way to learn how to make my baby and me happy. Keeping my fingers crossed.
I would really like to learn Print and Cut. I tried it once and it didn’t work and never tried to figure out what I did wrong.
I am doing your first class as we speak :) It just came at a bad time for me; but no worries… That’s what’s so nice about self-paced classes on-line!
