I can’t tell you how excited I am for this! Not only is it great for the everyday stuff, but I am sooooo stoked to play with the Bamboo Paper App as well as Adobe Ideas (vector drawing program, like AI) and Adobe Touch or iPhoto–I haven’t decided which one I really want to use yet, even though I already bought iPhoto. ;)
I’ve just looonged for time away from sitting in my little corner of the world to work. I want to sit outside under the willow tree in the sun and slight breeze and do some of the doodling around that I could do elsewhere if I had had the means–and now do. I love the fact that you can draw ON the pad to doodle in the real doodle sense. I couldn’t stop doodling Saturday night. Every word I heard while watching tv got written down. Too much fun. And if I can figure out how to get Adobe Ideas…which is supposedly an app already available…but I just can’t find the danged thing…I’m just gonna be tickled pink! If anyone knows anything about it… I can’t even get it via the link on Adobe either. So weird. I’m checking with my Adobe friends to find out what the heck? ;)
And if any of you have a great case that’s both functional and stylish, let me know where you bought yours! I just bought a Belkin clip on back (in green) and then the roly-poly cover from Apple. I saw a cute one that was tan and cream striped with a deep aqua color, but I didn’t like the aqua covering up my nice white top. I’d rather have one that clips in so that I can still have that smooth surface for drawing.
I finally feel like I’ve come into the 21st century.
It’s a nice place to be. :)

And, is there any trick to rolling the freebie flower? I’m not certain how to do it.

I could tell ya the name of the font, but because I do what I do…I buy them. And they are usually pretty expensive–this one is $100. Usually when I tell people the cost, they say “Ohhhh, no thank you.” lol As for rolling the flower, try using a pencil or a paint brush and roll it around it. I even used a [blank] dvd/cd spindle–because it was sitting right in front of me–and that worked well.

Thanks for your detective work. I had found all those things too. I’ve tried just about everything you can think of to get it. It’s not like any site says “Not Available in US”. It’s only when you try to get it in iTunes. Which makes NO sense at all to not have it available here. Still waiting to hear back from my Adobe friends.
I just sooooo want to be able to do vector drawings on my iPad so that I don’t have to trace it in AI. And I want it NOW. lol
(patience is not one of my stronger suits.)

I love the case i got from amazon.com for my IPad. It’s by Roocase. It comes in various colors (I got red), it’s magnetic, so it wakes up and shuts down your IPadwhen you open and close it, and it has a built in stand. Check it out…
I just did a search in the apps store on my iPhone and found Apple Ideas. It’s $9.99 with an in-app purchase opportunity for “Draw Layers Feature” which is another 99 cents.
I don’t see an option for an iPad version or iPhone version, so I wonder if it’s available for the iPad.
I’m going to check on my iPad to see if I can find it. Yup, I found it by searching in the App store on my iPad. It works with iPad, iPhone, and iPod.
