for the grad

It’s kind of crazy to think this time next year I’ll be having my very last grad in the house–and I’m reminded of it frequently. Jordan’s just finishing her junior year and is already heavily involved in her senior year….already! She’s the president of her school’s service group. She’s getting ready to gear up for all her musicals–for which we find out what they are here soon. And she just brought home papers last night for next year’s choir tour–for which they are going to NYC and singing in Carnegie Hall (among other places), doing workshops–including a Broadway one, seeing Wicked, and all the other fun NYC places. What a trip! If I go as a chaperone, I will have seen just one ‘official’ Broadway play three times. I saw Wicked on Broadway when Megan Hilty (Smash) was Glinda–she was fabulous! And I saw Wicked in London. If I go as a chaperone/tour photographer, I will make it a nice even three. ;) We’ll see if they need me though.

Anyway, all I can say is time flies!

So, do you have any grads in your life this year?
Family? Friends? Neighbors?
Need a fabulous card idea?
How ’bout these babies from Nichol!
Just tuck a little cash in there and you’ll be the grad’s new best friend. ;)

Here’s what Nichol has to say:

It’s that time of year again where I have several graduation announcements that I need cards for. I love that with the Graduation Kit you can customize graduation cards for the recipient by the year of graduation! I also like to match the colors of my cards to the school colors for the graduate.

love these.

And if you haven’t seen the Graduation kit in a while, here’s a little refresher about all the fun goodies in that kit! Lots of great titles for cards and pages. And there are a whole bunch of years so that  you can use it before or after our current time too. :)

And I just wanted to say thanks for all your mother’s day wishes and kind words.
I hope you all had a wonderful day too! :)

Yup i have twin girls graduating college Saturday. My last from the home to graduate. Then begins the separation of one going to South Dakota to work with a ministry to Indians, the other one coming home to get married. Then we are moving in a few months. What a year of change. Praising God for His faithfulness in all things. These cards are awesome. I would LOVE to see Wicked again. Saw it at the Fox in St. Louis. Enjoy every minute with your precious family.

Can I chaperone?!!? I saw “Wicked” in Chicago with Stephanie J. Block as Elphaba (she actually originated the role in LA before it went to NYC!). I could see it again and again…ADORE that show! The one I’ve seen three times is “Beauty and the Beast”. The ending when the beast turns into the prince gets me every time…true Disney magic!

Enjoy the last senior year! Mine was last year, and now that I’m an empty nester I sure miss all the craziness of having high schoolers around! Mine are home from college for the summer, but they’re never here so it isn’t the same. :-(
