Don’t you just ever come across some item where the colors just make you go . . .
ahhhhhh . . . .

Yeah, that would be this darling of a page from none other than Miss Nichol.

[ Shapes | Life Additions 2 (‘every picture’ / This+That: Family (instant frame) / This+That: Spring / XOXO (doily / Label It (tab) / Holly Jolly (tag) / December Addtions: The Extras (tag) / oddsANDends (‘here+now’) / On The Edge (notebook edge) / Summer Lovin’ (‘outside) ]

I say this all the time, but I adore Nichol’s talent for putting all that goodness on a page!

How does she do that anyway?
If I did it, it would just look like I had an embellishment throw-up episode.
and you try typing+linking her supply list! ;)

And to top it all with all those fabulous color choices?

sooooo diggin’ it.

Here’s what Nichol has to say:

I wanted to convey the sense of summer throughout my layout with the use of color and embellishments. One of my favorite things to do is to add layers for lots of dimension and I love, love, love office style products! The file folder makes for a fun embellishment with little bits and pieces sticking out and held shut with some twine. A doily adorns the front and a tag distressed with Studio Calico Mister Huey and a die cut title finish the embellishment.

For the title I first created a strip from white cardstock. I wanted the strip to mimic a long white envelope so I die cut 2 tabs (one from Label It and one Kerri designed exclusively for my Confessions of a B Side Scrapper Class) because they resembled the top and bottom flaps of a tie-string envelope. Then I die cut the inside part of Kerri’s instant frame and layered a photo underneath before adhering to the white cardstock strip. I die cut the title from 2 different kits and layered one on top of the other. I love combining a scripty font with a classic one.

Kerri’s tags are some of my most used die cuts. I love how you can add anything to them for whatever style project you might be working on!
