o christmas tree, o christmas tree…

So this year I decided I wanted a fancy tree. According to…well…mostly my girls, I was ‘stealing Christmas’ because they didn’t get to decorate it with all the ‘I remember…’ ornaments. They really are joking about it, but next year I will invest in a second tree for the family room where they can have Christmas once again. :)

This year though, I had my ‘tree whisperer’ and best friend Kristy Banks come up with this new ‘ensem’ for my fancy tree. I wish I could take credit, but we shopped for stuff together and she decorated it for me. Isn’t she the best??? She loooves decorating trees (at least she says she does) and I am her fifth tree already this year. She does a FABulous job!

Thanks so much bestie! You are the tree whisperer for sure!

BEAUTIFUL! Love the gold ribbon. So grown up and elegant.

I’m busting out the tree this weekend. My hubby’s birthday is Nov 23rd so nothing can be done regarding christmas (with the exception of Black Friday shopping) before December 1st. He said growing up with his birthday so close or actually on Thanksgiving was equal to being born on Christmas eve or Christmas day. No pizza or lasagna….just turkey…poor guy…

This year I’m having a whimsical tree to celebrate our new grand baby Reagan. She is 18 months old and such a little joy. I’ve been busy making tiny felt ornaments so that she can decorate her very own little pink tree.

Small treasures make such big memories!

Wowza! That tree gets a gold star for sure and an academy award and a pulitzer…Oh, wait, it’s already got the Miss America gold sash so it’s all set! Really fantastic (and of course you took an amazing picture of it!!!) Thanks so much for sharing! Who knows? Maybe it’ll grow on the girls and they’ll want an elegant tree next year, too?!!
