christmas magic

It’s that time of year…time to start thinking of all those Christmas pages you’ll need to do. Want a fabulous idea to help you get yours done in a jif? Check out this Christmas Magic from Nichol!

[ Shapes | December Twenty-Five (“magic”) / Picture That [Go Long] / Christmas Countdown (tree) / Here Comes Santa Claus (“christmas”) / This & That Family (spool) / XOXO (doily) / Background Basics (diagonal background)

Okay, spools for the trees? Genius! love. And I looove how she used the diagonal stripe design for her background. Looks very cool!

Here’s what Nichol has to say:

This page was completely inspired by the homemade Christmas trees I’ve seen where people create a “tree” to top a spool. I think they are just adorable and thought that the die cut trees and die cut spool shapes from Kerri’s kits would make a cute page embellishment! I wanted the page to have a more “rustic” look and feel and chose to die cut Kerri’s diagonal background from a 12×12 sheet of woodgrain paper and then pop a sheet of burlap printed paper behind it for contrast. A cute title created from word die cuts and decorative die cut doily with embellishments add color and texture to the page. I gave my photos a bit of a vintage feel with photo actions and dropped them into one of Kerri’s templates for an eye-pleasing arrangement.
