let freedom ring

I can tell you right now, I’m kind-a glad ‘freedom’ had to stop ringin’ by this past Saturday night. In the state of Utah we are a firework-shootin’ state for a good chunk of July. Ya got the 4th and then we have the 24th, which is our state holiday. Not so happy to hear fireworks going off at 12:30 at night when ya wanna sleep, ya know?

But then you see something like this from Nichol and it makes ya just tickled pink for letting freedom ring, doesn’t it?

[ Shapes |  This & That: Freedom (fireworks, uncle sam hat) / Stars & Stripes (‘let freedom ring’) / July Four (handwritten words) / Giving Thanks (‘family’) / Star Background / Storyboard #7 ]

Love how Nichol interspersed all those handwritten cut files with stamped letters.
Looks a-mazing!

Here’s what Nichol has to say:

I love all the script-style words and text digi kits in Kerri’s store and thought that it would be fun to combine them with stamped text to create unique and eye-catching journaling for this 4th of July layout. I knew I had a lot of photos I wanted to use so I chose to place them all in a 12×12 KBS storyboard collage on the right side of the page, adding some stamped accents for interest and kept the left side of the 2-page spread free of photos to concentrate on the die-cut/stamped journaling and decorative die cut and stamped title work. I love the way the 12×12 star background gave me “invisible lines” for my journaling!

    Totally, Freakin’ Awesome! I LOVE this sooo much! I was born on the 4th of July, so I’m pretty partial to all things Americana. Love*Love*Love!
