happy birthday kbs: nichol magouirk style

I’ve known this girl just a few years or so. We’ve had quite a few experiences together–having never even met. It’s amazing in today’s world how you can become friends with someone in a completely different state (or country) and never  even ‘meet’. We have Skyped because, gosh darn it, I just had to put some real personality with the written one. I needed to ‘meet’ her somehow. :) Skype+FaceTime, more great tools in today’s world.

When I started into this new adventure, I knew . . . I knew . . . she was to go on it with me. She works her magic like no other on everything she creates. love.

And this is just another magical Nichol creation:

[ ShapesThis Is Halloween (candelabra, crow) / This+That: All Hallows Eve (‘All Hallows Eve’, short pumpkin) /  This+That: Halloween (clock hands) / Decade 2000 (“2004”) / Picture That Squared / tall pumpkin (Kerri’s design from the Silhouette Store) ;) ]

Love everything about this, from the polka dot numbers to the texty bird. A great combination of everything, really.

Here’s what Nichol has to say:

I admittedly don’t do many theme albums in my scrapbooking but I have two specialty albums that are family favorites: one is our Christmas Cards From Friends and Family and the other is an 8×8 Halloween Costumes Album. (Click HERE and HERE  to see the original posts where I shared the album cover, title page and a couple of the inside pages.)

I am gradually scrapping past year’s memories and nothing makes a Halloween page like Kerri’s fabulous spooky designs! I am especially partial to the muted earthy tones in my Halloween scrapping and used a lot of neutral tones paired with blacks for a striking design. I used Tiim Holtz Distress Glitter on the candelabra for glitz and glamour and to compliment the glittered MME accents. I stamped and embossed a Hero Arts clock stamp design and added the KBS die cut clock hands (also embellished with Distress Glitter). I just cut them to fit the clock size! LOVE that.

Love this, Nichol! :)

And now let us do a little flashback of some Nichol goodness. To see the original post with all the details, just click the page.

adore these penguins!!!

The colors and eye candy?  divine.

One of my all-time faves. Beautiful.

Nichol is definitely the ‘Queen of Scenes!’

It’s that time of year already!

Love you dearly, Miss Nichol!
Thanks for hangin’ with me here!

And now, since we are half way through the week,
just thought I’d put out a quick remember about the sale going on. :)
