halloween fabulousness

So pretty much for about three or four weeks straight–and I mean straight, as in 12+hours, 6 days a week–my husband was working on this amazing Halloween cemetery (in a warehouse) with some other wonderful artists. He does an incredible job making things look like stone and aging and all all that. (You may remember THIS POST from a couple years ago when he ‘built Jersalem’.) The other artists do that too in addition to creating all these detailed sculptures.

Well, a local company is in the beginning stages of making a new place called Evermore and they started off by building a mobile cemetery and set it up in their own neighborhood for Pumpkin Fest.

This weekend we got to see it all put up and wow! They did an amazing job! Right down to the bizillion leaves they got from the canyon to spread all over their little outdoor ‘spook alley.’

Here’s some photos I took. Just remember, none of that is real stone. Pretty cool, eh? It would have been great to see it lit up at night, but I’m glad we went during the day when there were no people and sunlight. They had some early evening hours for the little kids and later scary hours for the ‘big kids’. Jordan went with her friend and she said her friend was screaming the whole time. There’s much more to it than just this too.

They did a pretty spectacular job.
