mix+match |  brackets and boxes


 

Today I have a really simple tutorial that makes the cutest little tag. It’s all about utilizing your resources in my world…never reinventing the wheel. So I used a bracket from a font and a box (rectangle) and made this:

(please ignore my very obvious dry hands. winter is on its way.)

      It’s not from a kit. I just typed the words Merry+Bright using the ever famous Bebas Neue font. :)

    OH wonderful! This is so cute and I am going to my software NOW to make one. The converting text to a compound path tip is really helpful.I have wondered why I have had trouble aligning dingbats or other font shapes. Yea for you! Thanks for the great video tutorial.

    I have tried multiple times to “subtract” and it won’t let me :( What possibly could I be doing wrong? Help, I love this design!
