lucky

I have to say that I am indeed lucky to be out of the winter inversion in Utah–oh the air is so bad–and basking in some glorious sunshine in beautiful Florida. Okay, so maybe it’s not so much basking per se, since I’m indoors working, but I do see beautiful skies here and there.

And how lucky am I to have this piece of art from our lovely Layle.

I love how cheery that page is! And putting in the pieces of complementary colors reminds me of doing a puzzle. It truly is a piece of art! Fabulous Layle!

Here’s what Layle has to say:

I’ve had this circle pattern on my list of Kerri’s designs that I’ve wanted to work with for quite some time – I just love it!  I decided to cut the circles out of white cardstock and then use a white cardstock background so the color I added to the circles would really pop.  To make the colored circles, I removed the ‘negative’/centers leftover after I removed the outlined circles and then used those as templates.  I layed them on top of the different pieces of colored patterned paper and then trimmed each shape, leaving a thin border around the entire shape in order to adhere it behind the outlined circles.  I added different colored enamel dots to the circles to add a few more pops of color.  I loved how this turned out!!

Me too Layle! :)
