Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and you may be wondering just what kind of card to make for your loved ones. Well, look no further because Nichol has got something to share with you today for just such an occasion!

[ DesignsFebruary Fourteen (xo) / BannersLife Additions #2 (frame) ]

love how Nichol used the innards and outards or the xo! Talk about maximizing your art! Two completely unique cards using one cut.

Here’s what Nichol has to say:

I am loving the look of white on white anything with small pops of color. I thought it would be fun to create a layered Valentine’s card using Kerri’s files. I love the graphic look of text backgorunds with a sentiment layered on top. The “XO” file from Kerri’s February Fourteen Kit makes for an interesting background for the die cut banner with the stamped greeting. To add even more interest to the card I die cut the rectangle and the postage frame from the Life Additions #2 kit for subtle white on white (embossed white cardstock and vellum) layers. Instead of cutting the frame “as is” I instead cut each layer (the rectangle from white cardstock and the postage border from vellum).

After die cutting and assembling the “Sending My Love” card I realized that I had “x” and “o” pieces leftover from the glitter cardstock so I created another card with the leftover pieces so that nothing went to waste!

Love Nichol’s cards! They are both beautiful… but isn’t the postage edge in Life Additions #2, not Life Additions #1? Perhaps I have misunderstood what was used. In any case, the cards are stunning!

Yep, you are correct Phyllis. I wasn’t paying attention that it was written incorrectly. :) It’s fixed now.

Good, Kerri, but it still needs to be fixed in Nichol’s first paragraph. Don’t want someone to buy the wrong set and be ticked! (I’m an old editor, so I find things like this frequently…) BTW, I love your stuff! I made your “Jingle all the Way” frame for Christmas…used red vinyl for the words (was out of black), and got several compliments (thanks to you)!
