documenting love

I love pages on love. I feel like it is the truest form of scrapbooking and recording memories that we can do for the ones we hold dearest. And the beauty of it is that it doesn’t have to be a holiday, like Valentines Day, to do it. It can be done year round. Although, Valentines is a great time to have that on your mind and get one done.

So is it any wonder that I fell in love with this page from Naomi.

[ Designs | Photo Strips #1 / Just My Type (side word border) ]

I love all the decorative pieces of love on this page, including the large ‘i love you’ as well as how she inked different sections of the big stack of words for an amazing look!

sigh.

Here’s what Naomi has to say:

I first made the collage using the newest Photostrips #1.  I love these storyboards.. they make putting a lot of photos in one layout a snap! Once you get the hang of using them, you will be hooked! I really loved the full and half page text cuts from the Just My Type Kit as well.  I knew I wanted it to cover a lot of my page, but I wanted to do something different with it.  I decided to layer my patterned paper underneath the cut, and for each color of patterned paper, I would make the text match.  I either inked or misted the words to match the patterned paper underneath. I layered some fun elements under my photo strip, stitched around my edges, and then I was done :) Hope you are inspired to try some of Kerri’s new kits! You won’t be disappointed!
