happy st. patrick’s day!

Well, folks. We’ve had an amazing few days this fine long lucky weekend, but it’s now coming to  a close. Of course, the fun never really ends, does it? ;) But the sale does though…fyi…so this is the last opportunity to take advantage it.

So we have one last amazing page to share here from Miss Nichol. I love that for our little weekend both Laura and Nichol used the same title–love seeing it used in two totally different looks. While Laura’s was big and bold, Nichol’s is soft and subtle. Love how they were each so unique and amazing.

Check it out.

My favorite thing? The monochromatic shades of whites + greys with all the elements. As I may have mentioned–a time or two (ha ha)—I’m a huge fan of white on white. So I love how this all came together. And the butterflies??? Hello!

Here’s what Nichol has to say:

I wanted to scrapbook these old photos of my daughter that I had pulled off an old layout eons ago but I kept having trouble finding the “right” way to record the memory. Then there was the fact that I had cut up the photos into a bunch of odd shapes and I didn’t want to have to go get them reprinted (this was pre-digi days!). After playing around with some color choices from my paper stash I came across the white Dear Lizzy Ruffle Paper and was inspired to go with a white on white layout with touches of gray to highlight the die cut title from Kerri’s Something To Say Kit and the camera die cut from the Click Kit. Negative strip die cuts also from the Click kit hid the fact that my photos didn’t all start out this size plus the photo in the bottom left corner was smaller than the negative opening and by hanging it off the bottom of the page allowed it to “blend in” with the others! A scattering of beautiful die cut butterflies from Kerri’s Design Secrets Class cut from an assortment of vellum and text paper, a sprinkling of gemstones and some white embossed stamping complete the design.

Thank you so much for being a part of our KBS world here Nichol. We are all ever-so lucky to have you share your talents with us each month!
