hello there  •  hello flip card

hello-there-week-long-celebration

I don’t know ’bout you, but I have soooo been enjoying Nichol’s cards this week…and this one is no exception. I love her take on the flip card, especially her adding the white-on-white flower background to it.

love.

All her touches with the stamps and flowers and such makes this pop in a whole new way! And I think I need to get my hands on that stamp that says, ‘Definitely Not Junk Mail.’ That is darling!

Here’s some words from Nichol:

I loved learning how simple it can be to create my own flip cards! While I kept to Kerri’s class lesson and used the circle “flip”, I can see how easy it will be to create many other shapes of flip cards! I used Kerri’s freebie designs from the class (flowers, “hello”) for my card and also used a background design from her Background Basics kit to give my card base some “texture”. I used the same color of cardstock as the flip card to not take away from the flip design! I love combining a large die cut word (in this case the “hello”) with a stamped phrase for a card greeting. :)

Sooooo very adorable!

And in case you were wondering what the freebies were in this class–the ones that Nichol keeps using, here they are:

Lots of fun sentiments and itty bitties to help you with your card-making fun.

Just one more day of card shares (class sale ends on Sunday though).
I can’t believe it’s Thursday already!!

Love the sentiment freebies from the class. Is there a way to purchase those without the class?

I would love to know if these could purchase these too since I didn’t take the class. Thanks.

Because they are a ‘perk’ of taking the class, they aren’t normally for sale. However, I do recognize that others don’t need or want to take the class so there are two or three times that I offer them for sale…usually around ‘big’ days, like Black Friday/Cyber Monday and others…. You never know what might appear for any big scrapbooking ‘holiday’ that might be coming up soon. ;)

O.M.G. How did I miss this flip card in the class?! Seriously. I would have bet money that I had completed all the lessons in this class but OBVIOUSLY, I must have missed a few. (How did THAT happen?!) No.. instead I buy a metal die to make this kind of card. Okay, so the die IS cool… but I could have saved myself $30! Oh well, at least I know I have a class or two to catch up on. :)
