Thanksgiving is just days away.
Are you ready?
Need another last-minute idea for loved ones to share their sentiments of gratitude?
Check out this altered book that Maggie made.
Can you say lovely?
Uh huh. Sure. I knew you could.
Love the confetti on a transparency…not to mention, the subway art on a transparency! How awesome would that be in your Project Life album? Yeah. I’m thinkin’ pretty awesome.
Here’s what Maggie has to say:
We host Thanksgiving each year, and each year I try to come up with a way to have my guests reflect on what they are grateful for.
This year I decided to create a little altered-book/album filled with tags and envelopes and bit and pieces. I wanted to be able to have my guests take a tag, write down their thanks and then tuck their tags into the book. After the day is over I will fill it up with photos, anecdotes and whatever else I can scrap about the day.
One (of the many) AWESOME things about Kerri’s files is that they can be manipulated in so many ways to make them truly unique…to turn them into exactly what you need them to be. Don’t be afraid to play and play and play!
For this small book, I decreased the size of the Just a Bit Obsessed file and turned it into a little 3×4 card. I used it right inside the front cover…then decoupaged it, stenciled over it, stamped it and painted it. I LOVE the way it turned out.
I did sort of the same thing with the Thanksgiving Subway Art…but I printed it out onto a transparency. ACK! I love the way this turned out!
The Confetti design that Kerri recently released is absolutely perfect! I used it in EXACTLY the way she demonstrated…with gold vinyl. And it’s gorgeous! I think it’s the perfect addition to this little stack. And I’m postive I will be using this design over and over and over in the next few months…Christmas, New Year’s, Valentine’s Day!!!
And do you recognize the “27” tag? I had a few left over from my project back in September and, what do you know? Thanksgiving is on the 27th! Perfect fit…
I’m so excited to have this little book completed…to have it filled with photos and tags and journaling!
It’s gorgeous Maggie!
I also love how the left-over tag was the perfect date!
