Did you get your freebie?
Are we ready for another one?
Can I get a yes ma’am!!!
Alrighty then, here ya go!
You can thank our sweet friend, Miss Laura Vegas, for this one! I asked my team members if they wanted a certain design for this holiday fun and this is what she picked.
This is no longer available as a freebie, but you can get it in the store HERE
And you know what’s even more fun than getting a tree for free?
Seeing the free tree in action! Take a look.
How stinkin’ cute are these?
I love all the different colors and patterns. It just looks all so danged festive!
Here’s what Laura has to say:
I came across a cute wooden Christmas tree on Pinterest, and asked Kerri if she could create something similar as a cut file. I knew it would make a great design to use on Christmas cards, although I’m also picturing it being used to create a fun wall décor piece. I knew I wanted to keep my cards fairly flat, so they would be easier to mail. I love creating cards that can be mass produced, and this was one of those.
I chose a few tone-on-tone patterned papers for creating the trees, and cut several sets from each color at once. For the base of my cards, I cut pieces of white cardstock just slightly smaller than my card and embossed them using a snowflake embossing folder. I spritzed each one with coordinating colors of misting spray, and did some machine stitching around the edges. Then I started piecing together my trees and adding my sentiment, which is a combination of the die cut “joy” (taken from Kerri’s Just Because kit) and some tiny alpha stickers.
Love them Laura! Such a fun idea for some quick cards for the holidays!
