Can I just say *squeal*?!

I’m absolutely giddy. Who wouldn’t want a gift wrapped up in shiny gold packaging…it’s just ever-so dreamy. I think this is gorgeous just ‘as is’ too…put it under a little tree, just for fun. Nichol always has fabulous packaging going on every year, and this year is just absolutely beautiful!

Hmm. I may just have to reconsider a couple of gifts Santa’s bringing.
It’s all in the details baby.

Here’s what Nichol has to say:

Sometimes you just need a tiny box or package for a gift and those little boxes at the store can be pricey and finding exactly what you’re looking for can be a challenge, too. With Kerri’s cut files, you can make exactly what you want in a snap! Even better? If you short on time and don’t want to mess with adding extra frills, Kerri has pillow box and gift card files that are all pre-made. All you have to do is print and cut! How awesome is that?!!!!

For this little set of elegant gift packaging, I used 3 of Kerri’s packaging designs (the small box, the pillow box and petal envelope) to create a coordinating group of pretty packages! I used the basic cut files (no print and cut) and then decorated them with little bits of this and that from my craft stash! I even die cut the pretty gold bow (consider cutting a bunch of these to have on hand to adhere to packages….if you’re like me you tend to forget bows and run out halfway through wrapping!) and a gold snowflake to add to the theme of the set of packages.

I know we are all short on time during the holiday season. All five of these went together in less than an hour! You can add as much or as little as you want and the best part? You can cut the boxes/packages in any color you want!

Tip: To get a bigger box, ungroup the box (top and bottom) and cut each from a separate sheet of 12×12 paper! You’ll get a much bigger box perfect for lots of other kinds of gifts!

Looking for ideas on what to tuck into these fun little packages? Here are a few ideas:

truffles (the mini boxes)
candy (boxes or pillow boxes)
a decorated sugar cookie (petal envelope)
gift cards (pillow box, petal envelope)
jewelry (any of the packages)
lip gloss, little makeup packages (mini box or pillow box)
nail polish, body lotion, etc. (pillow box)

Happy Holidays die cutters!

You outdid yourself, darlin’!

If you need more ideas? Be sure to check out Nichol’s blog because she has been sharing a whole feature on Handmade Holidays. Gorgeous stuff…just gorgeous. I’m headed over there now to see what else she has up her ‘handmade’ sleeve. Oh, and check out the ‘how to’ video she has on all these pretty little packages!
