Isn’t it Lovely?

When I concepted (yeah, it’s a word) the ‘Little Words’, I’d imagined them being used in their entirety as a background. You can’t imagine my delight when I saw this little number from our Miss Maggie!

I just love to see what this fabulous creative team will do with the KBS designs!

Here’s some words from Maggie:

My layouts are usually created around photos of my kids. And by “usually,” I mean “always.” But, with Valentine’s Day right around the corner, I thought it would be appropriate to create a page about the love of my life.

The minute I saw Kerri’s “Lovely Little Words” I knew I had to use them on my layout…but I wasn’t quite sure at first how I wanted to use them. After some deliberation I decided to print the graphics as they were and use them as my background paper. And I LOVE the result!

I opened up the .png file and recolored each little strip at random…either with black on white or white on black.

**Side note: I think the thing I love the very most about Kerri’s designs (other than that the designs themselves are ridiculously fantastic) is that they can be recolored to suit your needs. That’s so huge for me.**

I copied and pasted a section of the original graphic to increase the size of the final page to 8.5×11 (my go-to layout size right now), and printed out my page onto regular cardstock.

I printed out my photo in black and white and, because the paper itself said exactly what I wanted to say on my page, I didn’t need to go too far with my embellishments…awesome.

The black and white background is awesome. Like I said, I love seeing what these lovely ladies will do. They always surprise me in the most wonderful way. :)

This is awesome. I really love the way Maggie has used it as a background. So many options. Thanks for sharing.

Love, love, love this! Gorgeous layout – and I love seeing how your team uses your designs, Kerri. It just makes my mind “see” how much more can be done with not only the file they are using on the current project but with so many of the other KBS files I own (and have on my “need this” list!

    Great page!
