Grateful Every Single Day

If there’s one thing I live my life by, it’s to be grateful and/or appreciate various things in my life every single day. Whether it’s the smell of a lilac, the playfulness of the neighbor kids, hearing my kids laughing together, or just the way the clouds look in the sky….there is always something to be grateful for.

When you have that kind of attitude it’s amazing how you  feel! Looking at the positive is so much more empowering than dwelling on the negative.

That’s why I love the title Laura has chosen for her page. Being grateful for family is, of course, number one on my gratitude list–as I’m sure it is for most of you.

i love these people of mine.

Let’s take a look at this cute family Laura took pictures of.

wow.

All those layers are just ever-so dreamy.

Here’s a bit from Laura:

Every few months, I take photos of my cousin’s adorable little family. I’ve gotten into the habit of printing out a few of my favorite photos each time, and creating a layout with them, and this layout is from our most recent photo session. I wanted to keep this layout fairly simple in design, and knew a white-on-white background would make a great backdrop for my photos and a big, bold title.

I went to my all-time favorite circle background cut, from Kerri’s Background Basics kit, and cut it from white textured cardstock. I adhered the background piece onto another sheet of white textured cardstock and then spritzed the entire piece with green and black misting spray. I cut out the center of the text patterned paper and matted it on top of my cardstock background, to create a frame of sorts around the outside edges of the page. I cut my title, “grateful”, from a black diagonal stripe patterned paper and added a subtitle using some skinny alpha stickers. A few hearts, cut from coordinating patterned papers and topped off with either a button, jewel, or enamel, made for simple embellishments on a simple page.
