Plan, Plan, Plan!

It seems like everywhere you turn, there is some sort of awesomeness in the Planner world. I guess everyone wants to get organized in creative fashion, eh?

Well, speaking of creative fashion and awesomeness, here’s some great planner ideas from our Miss Layle. It is truly fabulous.

Take it away Layle!

Back in June I used the Travelers Notebook Dividers in this post to customize my Travelers Notebook and loved them so much that I wanted to create custom dividers for my Simple Stories 6×8 Life Documented Planner that I use for work.

I used the 6×8 Dividers cut file to create 4 dividers with side tabs for my planner.  One of the cool details that Kerri has thought of is that there are different configurations of tabs – top & side – as well as different tab spacing to accommodate the number of tabs that you want – between 2 and 5 tabs.  With each divider, I adhered to dividers together back to back to make them more sturdy.

On this 1st divider I printed the ‘you got this’ on the cardstock first using the You Got This PNG file, then cut the divider.  I then decorated the back of the divider because the back sides deserve to be cute too, right?!

On my 2nd divider I cut the words from the Oh What Fun cut file, adhered them to the divider and then added a few stickers to jazz it up.

And the decorated back of the divider –

On the 3rd divider I sized this fun A OK card, printed, adhered to some white cardstock so it would pop, and then adhered to the divider with washi tape.

For the last divider, I used one of my all time favorite of Kerri’s cut files – Today is a Good Day. I cut it from American Crafts Gold POW! Glitter paper and then ran each word through My Xyron Sticker Maker.

It makes it so much quicker and easier to adhere to things when I do that!

The dividers have tabs as part of the set, but rather than using the same pattern I cut the dividers from, I decided to create my own custom tabs.  After doing a quick Google search on how to do what I wanted in the Silhouette, I opened a new instance of the dividers, deleted the dividers so I just had the tabs, then added text to the tab shape, turned the text to white, turned the tab to black and then print & cut.  So easy, and so customizable!

And there you have it – my own custom designers for my planner.  I just love that!!

Great news!  If you have an A5 Planner or a Personal Planner, you can create your own dividers as well using these two kits here and here

Thanks Kerri for providing awesome cut files for us planner girls! :)
