I think that there were probably a few of you that may have had a family reunion this summer, right? Did you take a ton of photos? It’s always especially fun when you get the cousins together and take a photo from year to year and see how much they grow and change. I’m constantly amazed every year at all the littles that just grow and grow.
Our Miss Laura had a recent family gathering.
Of course I’m doting on that white one white background!
And that big ‘cousins’ title? Fab.
Here’s a bit from Laura:
The two things that I love to use my Silhouette for the most are die cutting backgrounds and titles. And Kerri comes up with such amazing designs in both of those areas. I’ve been slightly addicted to the same circle die cut background for the last year or so, so I was excited to play with some of the backgrounds in the new Background Basics #3 kit. I choose the plus sign background for this layout, documenting a favorite photo of my girls and their two cousins.
For my title, I wanted to go with a longer title, arranging it both above and below my photo. I love mixing and matching words and/or phrases from different kits, cutting each word and/or phrase from different patterned papers and cardstock. The Weathered Door Alpha kit is one that I turn to whenever I can’t find exactly the word I’m looking for. Or in this case, the number I was looking for.
