Are You Kidding Me?

A couple months ago I purchased a lovely stack ring set (the left set) on Etsy. My favorite combo is the simplicity of the two smaller stacked rings.

But during our trip to Chicago last month, one of the stones fell out and I was so sad. I emailed the person I purchased them from and asked if it could be replaced or repaired. She quickly responded that she would send me a replacement stone and that I could repair it myself with some clear nail polish.

Say what???

Within about a week I received a little box with a few stones (not just one) in a baggie. I pulled out the clear nail polish, put a little dab in the base, put the stone in and let it set/cure for the two or three days she said to let it set. She said that something like Super Glue would not hold it.

Well, I’m here to tell folks, I’ve worn it a few times and so far so good! I can’t even tell which stone it was. It’s ‘second from the end’, but I don’t know which end.

Is that not the strangest thing you’ve ever heard?

Definitely felt like this was worth passing along. :)

Awesome customer service, and very cool that worked. Sometimes the weirdest things work. Like toothpaste, not gel, will truly hold a crown back in place until you can get back to the dentist!
Love those rings…fat finger problems :(

E6000 is a good glue to adhere stones as well. :D

Yeah, that’s what I thought would be the ticket.
So shocked to find out clear nail polish worked.
      Who knew? :)

That is the craziest thing I’ve ever heard! Well one of them I guess. :) But awesome to know! Thanks for sharing, and I like that ring. Way pretty.
