I have been loving all these wonderful ideas that everyone has been sharing! Can you believe we’re on Day 7 already? It’s all going so fast!
Today, we have Miss Jamie Pate–who’s visiting the KBS house for the holidays–to help you out with some beautiful ideas for sending sweet holiday notes.
Check ’em out!
One can never have too many cards this time of year. I always need a stash ready and handy to jot a little note and send it on it’s way. What recipient does not love a hand crafted note purposefully made with love?
I love the black and white stripes found everywhere right now. It is certainly a theme found in my home and even here on a card. First, I created the background of the card with two pattern papers. A snowflake was cut from gold mylar. That is a must have cut file called, simply enough, Snowflake. The sentiment is stamped on vellum and then layered over another piece of pattern paper. This is a great way to have an image stamped, but allow a pattern that you like to still shine through.
This is a simple card with beautiful impact gold impact coming from that snowflake.
The So Very Merry card makes use of a great pop of gold. The Polka Dot die cut is from the Life Addition set. The Fancy Label was cut using the Label It and the So Very Merry sentiment was stamped for the inside using the Twinkle Stamp Set. I cut a background of larger circles, also from the Life Addition cut files. This was part of the base along with some background paper, and the rest is layered on top. Be sure to use dimensional adhesive tape to give plenty of dimension to your card.
Lastly, a card that uses the December Additions Pages as a background. I just adore that cut and it is not only perfect for this time of year, but for the rest of winter. The cut is sized to about 4×3 and layered over pattern paper on the card base. Cut files that are intended for pocket pages made perfect layers for cards. A Fancy Label from the Label It was cut, also from gold mylar. I created a little tag sentiment using the Twinkle Stamp Set. To do this: stamp a scrap piece of cardstock. Trim it down. And notch the end for a little Christmasy tag.
Thank you, Kerri, so much, for letting me have some card fun with your fabulous die cuts and stamps. Your products are gorgeous and so very versatile. Merry Christmas, everyone.
I tell ya what…I am on such a gold kick and these little snippets just take the cuts to a whole different level. Especially when it’s gold and white. I hope it never goes out of style. Aren’t these cards beautiful? Who would love to get one of these cards? (Can you see me with my hand waving high in the air. )
Great ideas Jamie!!
Oh boy! Today we’re adding a (rein)deer to our little grouping of Christmas goodies. Gotta have one of those, right?
This is no longer available as a freebie, but you can get it in the store.
And…*ehem*…I may or may have not cut out a little herd in some gold textured paper from Michaels.
