It’s funny how things come to fruition in the world of organization. You have a need and you search for a solution.

For example…

I do plenty of stamping little 3×4 cards. But I never like to cut the card shape before I stamp because gosh, what if I screw up the placement? But then I go to cut the card and then…I still screw up the placement.

Being the perfectionist that I am, that’s not an option.

So what’s a girl to do?

Well, a nice 3×4 cut piece of plastic paper does the trick! I can place it over my image and pencil off the edges and make my perfect cut.

I know. I’m a little cuckoo for perfectionism…but it works!

Then the other day I was looking for a certain. I pulled out my stack of stamps from the drawer and shuffled through them. Nope. Not there. What did I do with that thing? A couple piles later and I found it.

Oy. I needed something more organized!

Out comes my Studio Calico 6×8 Handbook that I bought at Christmas time during the American Crafts sale, along with some 2-up 4×6 page protectors.

Bingo! I love flipping through them … as shown here. ;)

We’ll see if this method holds. I also like the idea of them going into a bin and categorizing them by subject–alpha, Christmas, travel, etc.–but for now, I like this. I like seeing that it has a spot to go back into.

And as I flip through all these stamps, I’m amazed at what the last year has brought me. Never in a million years would I have thought I could produce live product on my own. Technology and time has changed so many things. There are so many other things I would like to produce too…

….hopefully in time. :)
