Even though a snow storm roared and blizzarded (ya, it’s a word) its way in to us yet once again last night, I did manage to spend a few glorious first days of March in the beautiful sunshine! The days are getting longer. The temps will rise again this week. And we change to Daylight Savings Time this weekend. All glorious signs that we are flinging into spring!
So with all this going on, it’s the perfect time for us to have a Spring Fling week! with our creative team!
Aaaand, on top of the beautiment (ya, it’s a word) that will be bestowed upon us by our lovely ladies, you can also a save 40% on spring-themed kits –totaling $5 or more–through Sunday. Just use the code SPRING at checkout.
To start off this fresh week of creative goodness, we have Miss Maggie sharing a beautiful page that will just knock your socks off…so you can wear sandals, of course. ;)
Take it away Maggie:
Hello, hello, everyone! Maggie Massey here with a layout that has got me just ITCHING for spring!
I just love the spring…the smells, the colors, the SUN!…the promise of higher temps!
And nothing says “warmer weather is coming” like fresh greens & blues…so I started my page by adding some bright watercolor to a few sheets of cardstock & cutting a whole bunch of leafy branches from Kerri’s Just Add Color: Class Extras cut-files.
I layered up and adhered my cut branches, and added my photo on top.
Next, I cut the phrase “one fine day” from the Bloom files, and added that to my page.
Finally, I printed and Minc’d the “I LOVE RIGHT NOW” digital stamp (from Kerri’s Fresh Air Digital Stamp set) and added that to the bottom of my layout.
A few little sequins and my page was done!
I’ve hung this page up in my workspace…and it’s making me so happy!
Thank you so so much for taking a peek!
Oh my goodness! The texture…the variation of colors…it’s all just sublime.
(Perfect word for this, don’t ya think?)
I am soooo ready for spring and this page just totally hits the spot!
Now we have just one more thing to start off our flinging of spring. Get Out. A brand new design–available in the store now–that we’ll be using to adorn t-shirts for our annual girls camp this year!
And of course, I had to try it out on a t-shirt for myself…right…now!
I cut it in vinyl with my Silhouette, used the Speedball paint+screen, and voila!
If you’d like to know more about how to do your own screen printing,
check out this post HERE from a previous girls camp t-shirt design.
I am now ready to get out….if we can get rid of the snow again, that is.
