If there’s one thing you gotta do in the fall, it’s head for the hills….uh…mountains. The changing scenery and colors is always breathtaking. One of the popular spots to do that is the Alpine Loop. It’s been tugging at me to do for the past couple weeks and finally yesterday, my bestie and Jordan took a quick little adventure up the American Fork Canyon side, stopping for a small ‘hike’ along the Timpanooeke Trail and at our usual digs, a campground up the canyon. We didn’t have a lot of time, but my soul just needed to get out and be one with fall.
Here’s a few photos.
First off, I’d actually considered going up by myself. Luckily I have an awesome friend that will say yes to my little excursion whims. Jordan also happened to be home yesterday, so she came with.
Just seven more miles along this trail and we’ll make it to the top of Mt. Timpanogos. ;)
I can’t help it. Fallen leaves are delightful…and my favorite!
The beauty of this place is truly remarkable. Whether you live around here or are visiting, a trip along the Alpine Loop is definitely worth it! And get out and hike a little. There’s nothing better than feeling the gusts of wind and have the leaves swirl around you…not to mention the crunchy sound when walking on them.
It is heaven on earth.
