The KBS Twelve Days of Christmas is seriously my favorite time of year. And yes, I know that technically the real ’12 Days’ doesn’t start now, but I’m a bit of a rebel and in my little world…it starts December 1st….today. :)
If you’re newer here and haven’t been ’round for one of these, you’re in for a real treat! Each day–for twelve days— we have amazingly creative people popping in for the holidays and we have a freebie available for that day only. And you never know what else will come our way. ;)
So what should we start with today?
Hmm…let’s do the free design!
I’m a wee bit obsessed with car-carrying-tree designs. :) I put this Christmas Car on a tag and combined it with some washi and a stamp from Better Not Pout. Easy peasy. (Ohhhh, Bob Newby. From Stranger Things.)
You can find this using the link on the name above and also by using the Christmas One-Day Freebie category on the sidebar in the store. All that will be released during these twelve days can easily be found there. However, they are free for the one day only and will be available in the store for their regular price the next day. So if you miss one, you can check that link to see them all in one place
And now our first guest has arrived for our holiday party.
Everyone say hello to Kim Jeffress!
Kim is sharing a darling advent calendar idea! I love the idea of it being in a ‘roladex’ style! Take a look….
Such fun colors! That’s what you get when you live on the other side of the equator, in some place like Australia. It’s such a weird notion to think of ‘Christmas’ in summer. Santa’s in shorts. All that fun stuff. Some day I need to see this for myself. :)
Here’s what Kim has to say:
Christmas is definitely my most favorite time of the year. Being a memory keeper I love different ways of recording all the special moments of the season. One way I am going to try this year is using the Christmas Calendar printables and my Heidi Swapp Memory Dex tray to create a journaling countdown. calendar. Each day I will jot down on the back of each card what we have done , I might add in some photos and or memorabilia as well.
I printed off the Christmas Calendar pieces onto white cardstock and then trimmed each image into different sized rectangles. I then trimmed the top into a tag shape and used my Heidi Swapp Memory Dex punch at the bottom. I then simply slipped each card into my memory Dex tray and I am ready for December. I accentuated each card with some Colorshine, washi tape and number stickers. The whole Advent tray took my less than two hours to put together!
I love it and can’t wait to use it!
This project is simply adorable! Love how she jazzed up each. And making them different sizes? Genius! How wonderful it is to see the Christmas Calendar be used in a different way. And the Memory Dex is perfect for those that don’t have a lot of space.
We’ll be seeing more from Kim later on. This girl knocks my socks off. I’m excited to share her other project with you all so stay tuned these next couple weeks!
