Can’t Stop Me

Mixing up today’s Phrase A Day in fine fashion (haha). Thought these words would be so fun on a t-shirt or hoodie!

If you’ve never tried screen printing, check out this post. You can also use heat transfer, which is a simpler process.

Design in the store here.

Phrase A Day is a personal writing challenge in the month of January to help me learn more about my new iPad Pro 10.5 and the Procreate app. If you have a suggestion on a phrase to write, leave a comment and if it gets written, you’ll get the image for free. :)

    Hi Kerri,
I was wondering how do you print your phrases using white ink on black paper? Also, how did you create the t-shirt, such great phrases and ideas daily. Thank you for sharing.

Hey Mandy! To ‘print white on black’, you make a black rectangle and change the image (PNG) to white in a photo editing software or in something like Silhouette Studio (using DXF or SVG file). If you’re using something like Elements, you would use Edit/Fill and make sure the Transparency is checked on so that all it will do is change the color of the image and not the entire layer.

As for this t-shirt example, it’s a mockup image. But I’ve got a great tutorial on screen printing that you can find here: https://www.kerribradford.com/2014/08/13/screen-printing-kbs-style/

You can also use heat transfer, which is kind of like vinyl, in that you cut it out, but then you iron it on. You can find a post about that here: https://www.kerribradford.com/2017/07/19/signs-of-halloween/

      Hope that helps. :)
