Paris TN | The Louvre…Kind Of

I know I’m going to get major gasps here when I say, we didn’t go into the Louvre.

Art isn’t particularly my jam. I do appreciate it, the talent, all that, but to spend that much time looking at art? Yeah. Not so much. My ‘art’ that I like to see is architecture, particularly when combined with being outside. We did go to Musee d’Orsay, so we did see some art, but on a scaled down version. Plus, I loved the building! It had me at (remodeled) train station.

Anyway, this new spread is all about seeing The Louvre and the beginning of our walk over to the Eiffel Tower. Also, this is the place (once we passed the buildings) where we first got to see the Eiffel Tower! What a moment for me to get to see that in real life. What a Paris icon. I mean, so is the Louvre…but the Eiffel Tower? ooh la la!

I have this idea to print all our selfies using an Instax. We’ll see how that (*ehem*) develops over the course of my album. On that Instax photo I used The Louvre stamp from the I Love Paris stamps. Oh, and if any of you have the secret touch for printing Instax photos, please share. I tried increasing Saturation and decreasing Brightness, but I can never get a more ‘accurate’ photo–as accurate as you can on an Instax, anyway. I swear I see other people get better results than what I do.

Additionally, I used a template from Travelers Templates: Wander and added the Just Love from the One Fine Day stamps.

And did you know that not only am I a cat whisperer, but I’m a duck whisperer? The mama and daddy ducks didn’t go to Dan, they came to me. No fear. Talking to me politely. I told them I didn’t have anything for them, but they continued to hang out and talk to me anyway. They did start picking at my shoes though. I told them that wouldn’t solve the ‘I want food’ issue. ;)

Love these pages! And even with a BFA, I prefer the Orsay over the Louvre too. My 20-somethng kids adored the Orsay when we were there last spring. My 21yo daughter arrived in Paris just yesterday, ready for a 2 month internship leading architecture, cuisine and fashion tours! How fun is that?!! I’m so glad I bought your I Love Paris stamps–they will get lots of use! : )

She made it! So exciting! What a wonderful opportunity for her. And I’m glad I’m not alone with the Orsay. :)
