Oh my goodness. This has been a grand week, has it not? So many wonderful guests and the amazing creative team, all sharing their glorious work. So thankful to them all for their takes on the sketches.
These kinds of weeks are the best!
Alas, we are not quite done with the sketches, my friends! We have three more pages showing off Sketch #3!
Let’s start with the lovely Jamie Pate!
What Jamie says:
What a huge honor it is to be celebrating KBS birthday this week with Kerri and friends. I adore sketches, and Kerri’s stamps and digital cuts were perfect partners to celebrate this birthday and all things paper crafty this week.
I was so excited to use one of the TN sketches that Kerri created. This time of year we are outside and exploring the Front Range here in Colorado as much as we are able. Kerri’s Roam and Label Maker stamps were put to use to add to one of my many travelers notebooks documenting our hikes this hiking season. I also pulled out the Escape stamp set to add a sentiment to this TN spread. The Wander digital cut came in handy to create a subtle but impactful title on the upper left side.
These stamps and cut files work effortlessly with any way one chooses to document this thing we call life. Kerri’s sentiments are always spot on and that is no exception to this TN page that came from her beautiful creativity. Happy birthday, KBS!!! And may you enjoy many more imaginative years to come.
What I say:
First off, thank you for your sweet words Jamie! And second, wow! I am soooo digging that Wander title! Can you all hear me gasping? I also love the addition of the stamped sentiment along side said title. This is just a gorgeous spread.
Now let’s see what Wendy Saponaro has for us today.
What Wendy says:
Can we talk about the KBS stamps and coordinating digital files for a moment? The KBS digital files and coordinating stamp sets match up better than PB&J! Ha!! For the leaf border, I used the leaf (from the Beach Vibes digital file) and adapted to a cut file on my Cricut Explore Air 2. Also, I used the coordinating leaf stamp from the Beach Vibes stamp set. Such a perfect symphony together!
What I say:
Hel-lo. Double take. Did you see that border close up? When I first saw the full spread, I did not realize that was a stamped and die cut border. Holy moly. Love that! What a brilliant idea! I have some Hawaii photos I need to document. Hmm. May just have to use this idea.
Alright. Last, but not least, more from Laura Vegas! I told you she was on a roll, did I not?
What Laura says:
For this 6×8″ spread, I used sketch #3, changing up the photos a bit and where I added my journaling. I only had four photos, so I printed them each as 3×3″ photos, and arranged them across the spread as shown in the sketch.
I die cut the fun bookshelf from black chalkboard patterned paper, using Kerri’s A Good Book kit, and added my die cut “time” (from Happy Birthday) directly above it. I added my journaling along the top of the second page of the spread, and added a few simple chipboard elements to finish off the page.
What I say:
Oh my goodness. That book border is divine! And the funny thing is, a couple days before she sent me her page, I had just been thinking how I wished to see a page using that book design. She must have ESP. :) This spread is so perfect. And ya girl, get reading. It’s time. ;)
And this concludes our very special week. A huge thanks to all those that contributed to the party and a heart-felt thanks to all of you as well for supporting me in my little neck of the woods. Truly, you are all a such a blessing to my life.
