Wrap It Up

Can I just say how much I love seeing a little hand-stamped gift? I’m particularly fond of a white paper or kraft paper, both of the postal kinds.

And guess what Melissa has made using the new Christmas stamps!

A-DOR-A-BLE.  The black and white with a splash of red…divine. And I love how Melissa added little sentiments into the middle of the wreaths. gasp.

Also, pay close attention to the two tags–both stamped, but on different styles and sizes. Love it.

Here’s what Melissa says:

I love the holiday season. I love that one holiday rolls into the next going forward from October on out to the end of the year. These amazing Christmas stamps, Kerri’s genius brain gave us, have given me the opportunity to start planning ahead.

I started out as a card maker and decorating gift bags for close family and friends. I still make handmade cards, gift card holders, and decorate gifts as much as I can and I really love doing so, especially at Christmas time. When I saw the Merry stamp set, I just saw beautiful wrapping paper.

I picked up some white wrapping paper at my local craft store. I kept it simple, because the holiday’s bring enough busy-ness. I cut the paper to the size I needed, I taped it down (using washi) and just started stamping. I used one of the wreaths and a star and just started stamping, with black ink, in no random order. In a few of the wreaths I stamped some of the sentiments from the same stamp set, but this time in red.

For the tag, I used a tag from Kerri’s Office Tag set. Then I also used the Wrapped stamp set, to stamp onto the office tag and layer up that “dashing through the snow” tag, which is just stamped on a small piece of white scrap paper.

Finished off this gift with some black ribbon and pom poms. I really loved how this turned out and I’m excited to do more. I hope I’ve inspired you to make some fun projects this holiday season. So go and grab some stamps!!

Don’t forget, today is the last day to save and these are over half gone now!

Love this! So simple and yet it makes a big statement. I’m a HUGE fan of Melissa’s and of Kerri’s stamps – all of them, not just Christmas.
