Dashing Through The Snow

We’ve been having rain and cool weather here in Utah…finally. And yesterday morning when the clouds cleared? Our mountain tops were glowing with snow!

Fall, baby.

What is it about snow that’s just so magical? The sound and smell of it. I love hearing the crunch as you stomp your way through and how the world around just sounds muffled. And it always smells so crisp and clean. It’s peaceful. Of course, I don’t want to drive in it. ;)

Do you live in a place where you have a snowy winter? What’s your favorite part about it? What do you like to do?

Today we’re taking a look at what Melissa likes to do…and doing a very swell job showcasing the brand new Bundle Up stamps.

You know what I love the most about this? That large photo on the left with all that white space (literally) and the little word montage with icons in it. Ack! And I’m with you Melissa, I love the sled. :) This whole thing is just magical.

Here’s what Melissa says:

Oh my heart, I couldn’t resist that cute little sled from the Bundle Up stamp set! I just had to find the perfect picture so I could use it right away.

As soon as the first snow hits around where we live, you can find us in the mountains sledding. My kids enjoy the snow so much (if you can’t tell by the look on my daughter’s face).

For this layout, all I needed was a picture, stamps, a tag (Office Tag) and some scrap pieces of paper. Since I’m usually a black and white girl (when it comes to my memory keeping) I threw in a little pink because my photo also has a lot of white. The Bundle Up stamp set is filled with classic sentiments and adorable little icons. It may be geared toward Christmas, but as you can see my layout has really nothing to do with Christmas. I love a good, solid stamp that can be used for multiple types of projects.

Also used: Merry stamps (winter vibes)

This is beautiful – I’m wondering how she got the perfect black line around the office tag? I have the Office Tag cut file but I don’t see a black line around it.

Abby – if you use the Office Tag cut file as a PNG, you can cut the tags outside the lines. One of the tags has the two indents on either side of it. I think that’s what it looks like Melissa might have done in her TN. Just guessing though….

I totally agree with you Kerri! We do live where it snows, in the mountains of Pennsylvania. It is so magical and peaceful, it’s like we take a pause in our year and to enjoy the silence. I love the how peaceful and quiet it is, watching the snowflakes fall on a winters night and how the freshly fallen snow glitters in the sunshine. Today feels like mid July though, it’s 81 degrees, I just power washed our deck! Such odd weather for this time of the year. I’m so ready for the cooler temperatures! I say that now…ask me in February/March and I’m sure I will be singing a different tune! But there’s nothing like the first few snow falls, it is the most magical time of the year! Love how Melissa used Bundle Up, I ordered it last week and I can’t wait to get it! Hope you enjoyed your cool weekend.
