Let’s Stay Home

I find that I am a homebody when not otherwise engaged in adventuring outdoors or taking trips. I used to be more of a social butterfly when I was younger. But now that I’m older? I’ll take the coziness of home rather than the busyness of big crowds and noise. Is it an age thing? Is it just a transformation thing?

I dunno.

Whatever it is, I do love being at home.

So when I saw this spread from Sheree, I was like, right on. It’s so my jam–both in thought and design!

Oh, you guys. Those stamped word montages are amazing! I love Sheree paired the Stay with Home too. sigh. This spread is so beautiful.

Here’s what Sheree has to say:

When I saw the new Home stamps I immediately thought of this photo that I snapped a few weeks ago of my little family all hanging out together in the backyard.  I love moments like these…everyone chatting, laughing, telling stories and enjoying each other’s company.  So good!

I decided to combine the Home stamps with other Kerri Bradford stamps from my stash.  One of my favourite things to do is to mix and match stamp sets and they always work so well together no matter what the theme may be!

I created a tag for the title of my TN spread using stamps from the Home, Roam and Line by Line stamp sets, then added a typed piece to the top with some stitching to complete the look and add a little texture.

For the second page of the spread, I knew that I wanted to use as many phrases down the side as I could fit.   I chose phrases from the Home, Hello Life, Long Story Short, Go and Gather Together stamp sets and I love the combination of the different fonts and sizes of the stamps!

The Home stamp set is a new favourite and I just know I’ll be reaching for it time and time again!

And now to watch her put it all together…here’s a video. :)
