I love wooden signs. And even more than that, I love having signs that you can keep in place all year long and simply switch out the sentiment.
Case in point shown here with the three phrases of the brand Holiday Happiness kit.
Of course, these are the three sentiments from the kit, but you could easily set in a Halloween or Thanksgiving phrase. Or, a phrase that you can use all year long. Just change it with your home decor.
I purchased this frame from Hobby Lobby. It’s not an empty frame, but rather, one that had a printed design inside that I don’t care to use. But I liked the frame. It has a 9″ inset and probably sits near an inch deep. So I can just make prints of a few phrases and leave them sitting inside for storage, simply rotating the one I need on top for the season.
My kind of home decor. ;)
Plus, it would make an awesome gift!
And on another completely serendipitous design note. When preparing the All I Want For Christmas, I placed a period at the end. As I was vectorizing it (turning it from a PNG into something editable), the period looked like a heart on its side. I simply rotated because I thought it–ehem–punctuated the sentiment perfectly. :)

I purchased the frames shown in the pictures of this entry directly from the link and they are not as I expected. There is no glass covering these frames. It is just a piece of wood with a painted sentiment. How is the printable attached to stay in place? Otherwise, I love it!
I actually just set it inside. I don’t use anything to hold it in. You could use a bit of that sticky putty that they use to put posters on walls. I’d also thought about using thin magnets. But really, because it’s got a deep set inside, it stays for me. :)
