I’m on a roll…and this doesn’t happen at this time of year.
(That being said, my roll will probably be short lived. haha)
Today my spread is about preparing for Christmas–new ornaments, decorating the tree, buying new wrapping paper as well as some tin houses (since I can’t find the blasted ceramic ones.)
I kept this pretty simple by using another card from Liz Tamanaha (Paislee Press) and the little journaling card I made.
And here’s a little tip I generally try to do when working on a project such as this. I have this thing with trying to keep balance and it’s not always easy to do. I like for my eye to ‘dance’ naturally from place to place. So on this spread you’ll notice two white sections in each corner and two grey sections in the opposite corners. If I can make this happen, I will. I know trying to put things in pockets–or templates, even–can be a challenge from a design layout perspective. But if you can make it work, do it. :)
I also used champagne foil and Minc’d a tree from the Oh What Fun digital stamps to make my journaling card.
Really just focusing on the photos and a bit of story here. I like that this is kept pretty simple. I don’t think that you have to necessarily do that ‘extra’ decorating in every open spread. Of course, some may say Minc-ing is ‘extra.’ :)
