Or I should say, get it in gear!

It’s March. And you know how much I’ve done with my One Little Word, Order?

zero. zip. nada.

It’s been a crazy two months of the year so far. As always, life throws unexpected things at a gal–this gal, in particular–and big plans go by the wayside. I think it’s really wearing on me too. Not the unexpected things, but the ‘i want order’ things. I need so much to be in order.

I haven’t gotten into the whole Marie Kondo thing. It’s weird, she must have been making a name for herself for some time, but I’d never really heard about her until maybe last fall? I don’t know if I can do the whole ‘does it give me joy’ thing. ;)

Alas, it looks like Miss Sheree has been successful in this department. Take a look.

Earlier this year I watched the new Marie Kondo show on Netflix (like many other people) and was instantly inspired to declutter and organize my home.  It’s made such a huge difference on how I feel about my approach to cleaning and organizing so I wanted to document it in my binder.  It’s a work in progress but it feels amazing!

Once I had the journaling and photos printed, I went through my Kerri Bradford stamp sets to find phrases to suit my project.  I love that I can always find the perfect phrases to use even if the stamp sets are a completely different theme to what I’m documenting!  I ended up choosing a variety of phrases from the Home, Away, Gather Together and Hello Life stamp sets and the Brooklyn XL alpha stamps for the title.

I arranged the photos on the first page then went ahead and stamped the cute houses from the Home stamp set at the top.  The “yes” stamp was added to the bottom, then I stamped the remaining phrases and main title word onto scrap white cardstock to cut out and adhere into place.  To finish it off I added some machine stitching for a little texture and then my spread was ready to be added to my binder.

Okay, that big, bold, beautiful title using the Brooklyn XL stamps? Oh my gosh! That’s awesome! And I love how even her spread looks ‘clean’. Block of photos, a few phrases, some journaling, and a title. Fantastic.

Now on a little side note, did you know the Brooklyn XLs are back in stock right now AND that all the Brooklyn and By The Numbers are on sale through Sunday?

ohhhhh yeah.

And to finish out today’s post, here’s a how-to video on Sheree’s spread.
