Annnd…it’s June 1st!!! What??? When did that happen???
Well folks, the first of the month is always a happy time, because of said stamps. And we have some fun ones today!
We’ve got Homegrown + Plant Life, which just complement each other, really. And State Of Mind is all about what you can do, how you feel, that kind of thing. And last, but not least is another background called A Fine Line. Love the idea of using this horizontally or vertically, especially for creating 3×4 cards for Project Life. You could also use it to make a grid or diamond pattern. It would also be awesome for journaling!
The stamps, as always, are on sale today and tomorrow for 10% off.
And just a fun note, I actually drew most the floral elements by hand on my iPad. I’m usually a designer in Illustrator, but I actually tried my hand at penning it this time. Yay me! haha
So let’s see these babies in action, shall we?
Oh boy. Maggie is rockin’ the lines and words! Love this combination of colors and phrases and handwriting.
Here’s Maggie to tell us about it:
The A Fine Line stamp made the perfect background for my stamping and journaling on this spread. I inked up only about half of the design, and then stamped it so that it ran off the side of my page. I added my favorite sentiments from the State of Mind set in colors that complemented my photo and then I journaled just a bit in my own handwriting at the bottom.
Next, I used the About Time set to add my date to the top of my page, and then I used a marker to highlight the bold lines in “may.”
Finally, I drew a circle around around the date and added a bit of blue with some colored pencils. I really like how just that small addition really grounds the date to the page.
Loving the outline of blue with that ‘May’ date. Great idea.
