I’ve always been more of a ‘glass half full’ kind of gal. Life is what you make of it. If you’re gonna be negative about everything, that’s what you’re gonna get. If you try to find the bright side and the good–even in an unpleasant situation–you’re gonna come out on top.
It’s all a state of mind, which is how this month’s State of Mind stamps came together.
Not everything is rosy though. I get that. There are moments. But some words give you an empowering feel, like what Melissa has included with her daughter’s photo here.
Good golly Miss Molly…this is incredible! It totally has a magazine vibe and I’m drooling over it! And the way Melissa has used so many words from all the new stamps…including ‘plant’ related stamps? Ohhhh yeah. And don’t even get me started on that subtle floral background! Ack!
Here’s what Melissa has to say:
I love all the encouraging sentiments in this months stamp release. I love that I was able to use the State of Mind, AND the Plant Life and Homegrown stamp sets on this layout, that isn’t about gardening at all.
This layout I created about my daughter is all about how happy and proud I am for her. I am loving watching her bloom into her own tiny, independent human self and embracing her life and what she makes of it.
On the left side of this project I used a flower from the Plant Life digital stamp set to create my own patterned paper. I added that State of Mind stamp from the State of Mind digital stamp set and added my journaling. For the right side of my layout, I used stamps mostly from the State of Mind digital stamp set and a few from the Homegrown and Plant Life thrown in there. I arranged as many stamps as I could around this picture of my daughter.
