Recently I made the announcement that some stamps were being retired because, believe it or not, they just can’t live forever. ;) But mostly, it’s because I just can’t keep up with them taking all the space.
And I’m finding that to be more and more true as seven (yes, seven) new holiday-ish stamp sets for October have arrived. Okay, maybe it’ll be six for October and one will move to September because really, I just can’t wait to use it! haha
I’m just bursting at the seams with the constant restocking of stamps.
Therefore, I have to make a new business plan.
An individual stamp design will now only be available to purchase for approximately six months to a year after its release depending on what it is. There will be a few exceptions, including some staples, some holiday and maybe some travel-themed stamps. Those will have a little longer life span.
I’ve produced about 100 designs over the past few years. So amazing to think about that, but even more boggling when you think that if–as an example–I have even like 20 in stock of each design? Well, you do the math. haha (Most of the time it’s more…and way more.)
This is a really hard decision for me because I just love so many of these babies. My babies. :) And it’s hard for me not to be accommodating to y’all by having them always around. Perhaps there will be a ‘blast from the past’ run in the future. But I just can’t keep them all in house anymore.
It’s just plain out of control and mama needs some control. :)
So please be aware of this new plan as you are deciding on what you’d like and when you’d like it. Because if you’re on the fence, just know that it could be gone for good the next time you look.
I think I’m going to put a Release Date on each stamp description in the store with a note about the shorter life span so everyone will be aware. Also, they won’t go into a ‘retirement sale’ status at the end either, so don’t wait for that if you’re thinkin’ it’s happening. :) I just really needed to clear out some space right now and so I did this one retirement sale. And boy, does it feel good to have some space!
I will also add a ‘Last Call’ into the title name so you can see more immediately from the main shopping screen that no more will be ordered of a given design. Maybe even a Last Call Category would be good so you can see them all in one spot.
I have mixed feelings on this. Sad because I love so many of the designs and hate to see them go, but happy because I am excited about the new ideas and space and definitely know it’s what I need to do.
Watch for the changes…and the beginning of some Last Calls…coming very soon.

Sounds like a good decision! I placed and order on August 1 and haven’t received anything. How do I track my order on your site?
Thank you.
Hey Lori! You should have gotten an email with a tracking number via PayPal. Looks like it’s set to arrive tomorrow. I was out of town last weekend and got home Monday, so shipping was a little delayed. 😊
Thanks for all the info! It’s so nice to know what’s going to happen, so we can plan accordingly. :) LOVE your designs, as well as the quality of the stamps, and I can’t wait to see the new holiday designs!!
P.S. Will you be restocking the Bundle Up stamp? It doesn’t list a release date (which I already know =P), so perhaps that is one of the staples you are keeping? It is a classic, after all! ;)
Thanks Becky! I haven’t gotten to all the stamps to put in a release date–just the ones that were last call. That should be on my agenda for tomorrow. But yes, Bundle Up will be back! Most Christmas (or holiday) stamps will be one of those exceptions to the rules. :)
