Before we get in to today’s share, I had a little bit of frustration Saturday night into Sunday morning…a scare of some sorts. I could not get my computer to recharge. I’m on my third Apple adapter in six years. I hear they are a ‘piece of crap’ and I’m finding that to be very true. This morning I tried again with my three-month old adapter…nothing. So I tried a combo of my last one and the new one and it’s working…as of right now anyway. ;)
That’s why I didn’t get to post yesterday.
But I digress…
So I have a question, are you a holiday treat giver? I like treats. We give treats to our immediate neighbors and get some from them too. Because we know we all need more treats at Christmas time (haha).
For our Oktoberfest: Holiday Celebration today we have Andrea Gray, aka, Retro Hip Mama, sharing a quick treat idea to give during your holidays.
Seriously. What a wonderful idea! Put a treat in a mason jar, stamp a little greeting, and you’re done! So cute…and tasty. :)
Here’s what Andrea has to say:
Mason jars are such a fun way to send treats to loved ones because you can fill them with anything! My favorite thing to do is fill a few pints with candies or cookies or nuts and decorate the lid with paper or fabric.
For this project I made a circle template using the jar ring and stamped a sentiment inside the circle. I first made a mask for the middle sentiment then stamped the MERRY + BRIGHT (Looks Like Christmas) in red over the mask, leaving the middle section blank. Then I stamped the “from me to you” in black, giving a fun layered look. I attached the paper to the metal lid with a foam square and spun the ring on to secure it on. You can try this project and surprise a friend with their favorite treat!
Oh, and if this is your first time meeting Miss Andrea, did you know that she produces a crafting magazine? You should check it out! (link below)
