About this time of year I always start thinking of turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, pie, and most importantly stuffing. We have been known to have a mini pre-Thanksgiving meal with said delights during the month of October. Maybe it’s because I’m feeling the vibes coming from my Canadian friends who have their Thanksgiving coming this Monday.
Canadian friends like Melanie Blackburn who create fabulous Thanksgiving gift bags and gorgeous travelers notebook spreads to document the holiday. Oh how I love the block montage of words and icons! The page is gorgeous and the gift bag is divine. Her choices all blended together perfectly. Love these!
Here’s Mel to tell you about them.
Fall is my favorite season, I love everything about it so it’s no surprise that I also love creating projects that are Fall related! From PL pages, gifts bags, tags and TN spreads, I love to do it all!
I was so delighted when Kerri invited me to play with her stamps! I opted to create two very different projects, both do feature a lot of stamping! I love creating little clusters with my stamps, it’s almost like doing a puzzle, determining which stamp fits best where bring me much satisfaction!
My first project is a small tag for a gift bag, which is ideal for party host and teacher. Thanksgiving for us folks up North is in October, so little gifts to celebrate the season are often exchanged at this time of the year, the little stamp tag just adds a personal touch that everyone enjoys!
My second project is a traditional TN spread, our family ritual is to go camping for the Thanksgiving long weekend, we bring all the necessary supplies to cook a traditional Thanksgiving dinner and we set up our table outside by the fire. It is a tad cold but we bundle up and enjoy this family tradition.
Hope you are inspired to take out your stamps to create little clusters of goodness.
