This time of year always brings about feelings of gratitude. So while you’ve got those extra warm feeling rolling around, it would be a grand time to do a little project and write down what you’re thankful for.
Today Heba Alsibai is sharing a fabulous book idea to contain all your thankful thoughts! (If you need more help gathering those feelings together, check out Cathy Zielske’s class, Count Your Blessings.)
Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. This is so freakin’ awesome. That pale grey Mad About Plaid on the cover is divine! Gorgeous. Simply gorgeous.
Here’s Heba to tell us more about it:
Hi everyone, it’s Heba! One of my favorite things about Fall is starting My Thankful 30 project. I usually keep this project simple, small and manageable. So for this year I will be using a personal size traveler’s notebook to jot down what I’m thankful for.
Once I saw Kerri’s beautiful, Feast and Mad About Plaid Stamp sets, I know I would use them to pretty up my Thankful 30 traveler’s notebook. I started by stamping the plaid stamp with a subtle gray for my background. This helped add the perfect fall background to my title page.
Then, I used the Feast stamp set, to stamp “Loved” as a title for my notebook. I knew I wanted to stamp the pumpkin with orange ink, but I also knew it wouldn’t stand out if I stamped it against my background. So I decided to stamp the pumpkin, leaves and the “blessed life” sentiment on sticker paper. This gives me the white background I need for them to stand out against the plaid background.
Once, I stamped and fussy cut out everything I went ahead, and added my pumpkin and leaves above my title. Then, to balance it out I added my sentiment under my title.
I just love the way my title page turned out! It got me even more excited for November and My Thankful 30 Project :)
