Here’s Maggie to tell us all about it:

My older son & I recently spent the weekend with my sister-in-law and her family in southern Illinois. The boys kept themselves busy hunting while the girls shopped and ate, and shopped and ate, and then shopped. And ate. It was wonderful. I had a bunch of photos from the weekend I wanted to document, but I didn’t really want to make individual pages for each of them. So I set out to find the perfect photo template so that I could easily and quickly scrap multiple photos on the same page. 

I scoured Kerri’s templates and loved the choices in the Half Pints: Wander set. But I couldn’t find exactly what I needed…so I created my own. I opened the “Weekend Getaway” template set and moved the photo boxes and words around a bit to better fit with my idea. Then, I simply enlarged the photo boxes a little, dropped my photos into their predesignated spots, and printed out my perfect design.

I adhered my photos to my page, and then I mapped out some spacing lines with my trusty ruler and pencil. Next, starting along the top of my photos, I began adding my phrase stamps from the Wild and Happiness Captured sets. I eyeballed the spacing, and, quite frankly, got lucky that everything fit into the space I had. A few words are hanging over a bit, but that’s totally ok by me…and I decided to not erase my pencil lines because I kinda love the way they look.
