As the weather is getting colder and more time is being spent indoors, I’m already longing for that nature space. Darn it all, we’ve got a few months before we can be at one with the trees and sky. I guess I’ll just have to look at my photos and reminisce and dream of that time again.

It’s a good thing we do take photos and tell the stories. I love looking back at our adventures. I’m sure Miss Sheree feels the same way with this camping spread she’s made for us today.

 

 

 

I’m off to go camp with them since summer is coming in Australia. ;) This is such a fabulous spread. Sheree always does a wonderful job with the tiny details–the stamping (of course ;) ) the stitching, the pop dots…it all comes together in the perfect way.

When I saw the new Wild stamp set I knew it would be perfect for documenting our camping trip that we did a few years back!   I printed my photo out to 6 x 8 inches and my journaling was printed onto a 6 x 8 inch piece of plain white cardstock. 

I also printed out some of the elements from the A Traveler’s Pack: Paradise printables to use on this spread.  I changed the yellow colour of the large ‘VACA’ piece and diagonal striped strip to green in photoshop to suit the colours in my photo.

I used the All The Time stamp set to add the date to the VACA piece before adhering it to the bottom of the main photo, then added some machine stitching for a little texture.

For the journaled page, I added a stamped phrase from the Happiness Captured stamp set just above the journaling, then stamped some green trees from the Wild set before adding a stamped tent with a foam dot.

Under the journaling I added a fun weather stamp from the Travelogue stamp set with a line of stitching.  To finish off the page I added two strips from the Paradise printables across the bottom.
