The older I get, the more I need to write things down or set reminders on my phone…dang it. I used to be so good at remembering it all. Life can be so cruel sometimes. ;)
Alas, I guess it is a good thing that we have ways to keep these reminders and alarms–whether it’s analog or digital.
It’s hard for me to plan like that. It’s just never been a part of me. I don’t sit and make goals either. I’ve been trying to do well with documenting daily, but gosh, how do you change such a life-long habit?
Well, I’ll tell ya what, Maggie has a plan and it’s amazing!
Oh my goodness, where do I even begin?! The brand new stamps from January couldn’t have been used more perfectly here in this bullet journal! The faint Numbers, the weekday titles, the month block in the corner, the colorful titles…it’s all just brilliant!
Here’s Maggie to share her plan.
The start of a new year brings with it so many possibilities, so much hope for change, and so much inspiration. I know I’m not alone when I say that I just love new beginnings, new challenges, and setting new goals.
This year, one of my biggest goals is to continue (and actually finish!) something I started off doing (but, sadly, didn’t finish) last year…my version of bullet journaling each of our weeks.
Last year, I set out to set up a planner notebook spread each week using various stamps and stickers…but, to be honest, long about April, things around here got busier, and I just stopped my weekly spreads. This year, instead of doing each week separately, I decided to make things a bit easier, and I’m going to try setting up a whole month at a time.
I started by creating a basic layout for each week in January.
I added in each of the sections I wanted to focus on – exercise (or “move” in these pages), our weekly dinner menus, my top 3 to-do’s for each day, a list of my goals for the week, and a few lines for my daily gratitude journaling. Nothing fancy…just things I want or need to focus on each week…each week with the same basic formula.
I used Kerri’s new Printers Block | Letters, Printers Block | Numbers, and Block of Time stamp sets to create my pages, and I LOVE the way each week looks! I kept everything fairly simple and uniform, but by changing up the order of the colors I used & the placement of each of my sections, I still kept things pretty interesting & fun. Maybe next month I’ll use pinks and reds in my spreads…

And now for a little dessert using the Printers Block | Letters stamps. :) Isn’t this just so simple, but creative? swoon.
